summer lovin'
So I love this beautiful girl! She's my hubby's cousin, the best babysitter... and let's be honest, it takes a skilled master to watch three boys three and under... but she handles it like a champ! So today she came along to help me out at the pool, and when we got home I thought... hey... what about a little photo session. So this is what we got! And I love it!

longest post ever!
As I promised... more pics from my trip! it was so fun and such an incredible experience. I can't eve begin to put into words what a wonderful trip it was. So maybe my pictures can speak for me!
This wonderful lady was carrying her little baby on her back. This is seen very often there. It's how they carry the babies around as they work.
This little girl was the cutest little thing! She kept running at me full speed smiling, which was funny, because most people tend to look shy or uninterested in the whole picture thing. And then us, over here in the us, have our kids trained to say CHEESE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This cute lady and little girl we saw in Cusco. What a wonderful city! It always broke my heart though to see the kids cheeks so chapped! All the little kids cheeks had been burned so bad that they were blistered over.
This would be my Brother in Law... trying to ride the Lama, which by the way, there were TONS of lamas! They don't spit as much as everyone says...
These sweet little girls where there in cusco too. All of these people we saw at the top of a mountain called Saxywoman. It's a big area of inca ruins. Very cool.
Here are some more of the kids. And one old lady who kept asking me to take her picture!
And then at 6am, the morning after arriving in Machu Pichu, Me, Dave, my BIL, and his wife climbed to the top of wannapichu, the highest peak overlooking Machu Pichu. Incredible it was!!!

It's almost that time!
One of the most talented people I know, and I'm lucky enough to call her a friend has come out again with another stunning set of christmas cards! Sherri, over at Beyond Red and Green comes up with the most wonderful and AWESOME designs for christmas cards, baby announcements, and everything under the sun! So if your a photographer, head on over there and check it out! She was kind enough to use some of my images for her 2008 christmas card line, so if you're a client of mine, you better click the picture, because you just might be on one of them!
So get ready everyone, it may be hot right now, but before you know it I'll be wearing a santa hat and singing jingle bells, and talking about christmas mini sessions!!!

super fun!
I know i promised more peru pics, and i will get to those... I PROMISE! But I've been sooo busy since I've gotten home that i really haven't had time to sit down and edit them. Yesterday I got some much needed niece and nephew time (7 kiddos in all) all to myself yesterday! It was great to hear my oldest niece say, "this is the BEST lunch EVER!" Haha, kids are so funny! I'm actually a TERRIBLE cook... so it was just frozen pizza. But I do promise I'll get to those pics!
But today my hubby's cousin who just so happens to be married to my good friend called and said he needed some head shots for a book he's contributing to... so what did I say? Come on over! Here's just two from today. I don't know the name of the book yet, but once I do I'll be sure to tell! Congrats Matt! Not too many people can say they've been published!

long time no post!
Well, you may be wondering why I haven't posted in so long! It's because I was out of the country... for the very first time might I add!! And for my first time out of the country it was a pretty good trip... can you guess by this SWEET and BEAUTIFUL girl where I went to? I'll give you one hint... it's one of the seven wonders of the world...
can't guess? I went to Peru! We went and visited many cities and saw some pretty amazing things, but nothing touched my heart more than seeing these sweet children who have so little, and yet are happy and beautiful! The trip made me so grateful for all that I have. I've been very blessed, and I hope you enjoy these photos over the next couple days I as get to editing. There's nothing more precious than the sweet and pure innocence of a child.
